Bras and Fame
/Start of girly rant that boys probably don't want to read
Ok lately all of my bras have had the underwire pop out of them, you know, at the end of the casing... it pops out and then cuts in to you, and basically it means the bra is not wearable anymore. It's happened to three bras of mine in the past few weeks, and the most annoying thing is that two of those bras were pretty much new, I'd only bought them just before I left Australia. I've tried to fix them but because the casing has boning or something in it as well I can't adequately sew it up and the underwire just breaks straight out again. Does anyone know why this happens? Is it just dodgy workmanship? Or are my boobs doing something wrong here? Also does anyone have any bright ideas on how to fix it? Grr I'm going to have to buy some new bras soon and I bet they will cost an absolute fortune!!! Plus the sizes are all different here so it will be confusing. Grrrr. Maybe I should take my politically left leaning persuasion to the next level and just burn all my bras. On second thoughts... no... I'd rather buy some new bras.

OK, in other un-bra related news, last night I went and saw Fame the musical in the West End with Fabian and his two lovely friends from Germany, Martina and Susan (hope the name spelling is right, sorry if it isn't!). The musical was lots of fun, a bit camp (but aren't most musicals) but the performers had so much energy and talent and some of them were very cute! And who can go past the songs... we were singing "Fame! I'm gonna live forever..." well in to the night. It was a lot of fun, it was cool because at the end they encouraged the whole audience to stand up and dance which was fun too. After we went to a nice British pub for a few pints and then we went to the Roxy, which was once again playing great tunes! We had a lot of fun dancing about and singing along, and by the time I caught the nightbus home it was nearly 5am!!!
I need to try and be good now, I have spent soooooo much money this week it is crazy. I should just stay in tomorrow and write my essay that is due in a week and a half, and also my radio drama script that is due on Thursday. On Tuesday I don't have classes either because there is a lecturer's strike.
Today I went to Canary Wharf though, didn't spend any money, but just looked around, it's really cool... the tall glass and steel skyscrapers are all so pristine that it's like a set from a sci fi movie. Quite surreal in a way... you look at it and it brings that phrase "the future is now" to mind. Very cool place though.
Um, other than that, that's about that! Been remembering more of the crazy antics we got up to at Tim's birthday... like me screaming out on the bus "Anybody on the bus from Westminster say woooo!" and getting most of the people on the top deck of the bus, and even some from the bottom to scream out lol. Oh I'm going to the BBC on Wednesday, I've been invited to an Open Day at BBC Radio, and I think we get to play with their toys and have a go at reading the news and stuff, it sounds pretty cool. We get studio tours and stuff I think. Should be fun!
Anyway, I should go now... if anyone has any ideas on the bra problem let me know!

hi ashlee!
i just thought of leaving you a message here because i had to laugh out loud when i read your comment about the underwires popping out of the bra :) hehe, i know this problem, but i don't know any solution for fixing these silly things... if you have one just tell me please :)
was so nice to meet you and talking to you! have a great time in london and don't stop partying :)
bye!
susi (or susan or susanne, doesn't matter, german friend of fabian)
Apparently (according to Hestia) its because you're either
a) wearing the wrong size bra
b) excessive stress on it (washing it without a lingerie bag, etc)
