Nice having a bit of time up my sleeve

It's been good lately. I've had a bit of time up my sleeve. I am unusually a bit ahead on my uni work... only a little bit lol. I haven't been working much cos I keep on turning down shifts at the hospitality agency cos they don't suit me, and I am starting a new job next week in guest services in the tourism industry, so that should be good, and it will mean I am busy again.I have also started doing news stuff at a community radio station which is good fun... plus finally something to put in my extraordinarily slim portfolio.I have to reprimand myself in here: Ash, you are very bad at saving money. I am terrible at it... I keep seeing things I want and I know I can live without them but I want them.... I am supposed to be saving for exchange I really should be being more disciplined. I'm being very bad at saving. And I should stay off ebay unless I am selling stuff.Other than that not much has been going on... I haven't been going out as much I would like to be, things are a bit quiet here lately. Oh, also I have made the decision that if I don't get a good cadetship when I finish my journalism degree I am going to do grad law because I am really interested in law and things like media law, international human rights law etc and I think it will provide me with a lot of knowledge that would help me be a better journalist. So yeah... more HECS, but hey an education is probably the best investment you can make so I should just try not to think about the debt!Plus if I do grad law that's another 3 years at uni shirking real responsibility and enjoying the student life... well, that depends if VSU comes in lol. Not sure where I would want to study it yet, maybe Sydney, or maybe I will move to Melbourne or Canberra for a change. I'm getting a bit far ahead of myself now.*Sigh* spending Saturday nights at home is not going to do anything for my lack-there-of-love-l ife or social life. Must not make this a habit of any kind!!
