Funny day

I had a funny day today. For my radio class we went on a "field trip"... basically we got dumped in this town called Richmond with mini disk recorders and were told to work in pairs and gather interviews to make a feature story out of next week, and we only had a few hours! It was kind of fun, but a bit weird... the town was gorgeous with a lovely river and stuff, but there wasn't much else going on! There were lots of calls of "this is bollocks!" when our teacher said what we were doing (I love that phrase, but I can't really pull it off with my accent). Then because the river was such a central part of the town I was climbing down muddy slopes to get close to the water to record the sounds of the lapping water. Then the birds wouldn't make any noises so we got some food for them and then i got chased by a huge goose that was seriously nearly up to my shoulders in height when the food ran out!!! So it was pretty zany.

Tonight I am going on a free river cruise run by the uni, and then tomorrow I am going to Oxford with a couple of uni people. So I've been pretty busy. I think I will go to Brick Lane markets on Sunday depending how I feel.
