From Bath to the bar

Yesterday was such a big day, but it was brilliant. Fabian and I went to Bath for the day in his car, which was lovely. It was such a beautiful place with historic houses and buildings, the ancient Roman baths, and Jane Austen lived there (where does Mr Darcy live? Tell me if you know!). The drive there was very picturesque in some parts, with rolling green hills and farmland... crumbling stone walls in fields with trees stripped of their leaves by the bitter wintery-ness of the wind. We stumbled upon an old estate, which had narrow roads, but a beautiful vantage over the countryside.

On our way back we stopped in Swindon for coffee. Now I can't really diss Swindon cos one of my uni friends who has the URL for this blog is from there, but we could not find the town centre. Everything was closed as well, and we had to settle for a disgusting watery coffee from a Wetherspoons. But oh well... and I got asked for money twice from bums within half an hour. Maybe we were just in the wrong part of town. Or maybe after Bath our expectations of towns were too high.

When we got back to Harrow we went to grab Maccas and ran in to some people from uni who told us that Tim Pryor was back in town, and drinking down the pub as usual... so I headed down, we drank, we danced, we sang, we managed to get in to Trinity due to his good connections and I stumbled into my room about 3.30am. This afternoon, I have another party to go to down at the student bar... busy busy weekend.

Oh and I forgot to say that on Friday it was St Pats Day so we went out. Didn't go to central London though because apparently the queues to get in to anywhere remotely Irish were massive.

OK, need to go so I can get ready to go out again.
