I conquered the bridge! I'm hungover!
G'day mates. I have no idea why I just used that phrase, but maybe it is because I am feeling ultra Aussie because I climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge on Wednesday.... for free as part of my training at work!It was fun and the view was great. I thought it would be hard, and it wasn't, it was just like climbing lots of stairs. It wasn't at all scary either. But it was fun, and it gave you a really unique view of Sydney.I shall post a pic of me in my sexy Bridgesuit soon.... that is what I have to wear to work now hahahahahahaaaa hilarity ensues! In an unrelated story, last night I went to a housewarming party of a guy who goes to uni with us... me and Heather and Ella bought a bottle of this uber cheap vodka called "Ursus"... blackcurrant flavour.... it cost us $19 for a large bottle, and we drank it, and as a consequence of drinking it we became extremely intoxicated. Hilarity ensued. I already had two G&Ts at the bank before we went to the bottlo... funny funny. Today I am extremely hung over, Ursus has a nasty after effect. It was funny cos the guy's balcony was waterlogged and we were calling it New Orleans, which didn't seem to be in bad taste at the time, but at later judgement it may have been.I've lined up work experience in my uni hols at a newspaper which should be fun/scary/interestin g/boring depending on how it pans out. Other than that I will be working, and freaking out about all the uni assignments I have due soon that I have done bugger all about. In news just to hand, somehow my phone bill this month is huge compared to usual, I think calling up the Big Brother up late brainteaser may have been a significant contributing factor. Hmm. It seemed like a good idea at the time. So did Ursus.I want to blog about New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina but that is a serious issue and as such I should probably make a separate post about it. Ugh, speaking of America, my flatmate and his mate were watching Miss Teen USA this afternoon and rating the chicks. I don't know whether I found it sickening, or whether it was just the hnagover, but it is such a terrible event which objectifies young girls... I could just imagine all the disgusting old creeps (and young American exchange students and their friends) ogling them... it's pretty gross. I like my flatmate, but I wasn't that impressed by his choice of viewing this arvo, but at the same time not that surprised.
