Sick :(... and some funnies from gumtree

I'm sick. I have a really bad flu and have done nothing but stay in my room all day :(. I couldn't even go an see a single tourist attraction, and yesterday I went out to see Brick Lane market but I had to come home because I felt sick. I haven't even been able to pluck up the energy today to go to Sainsbury's (supermarket) to get some decent food so I have been eating baked beans on toast and I'm trying to decide whether to have mushy peas on toast or soup for dinner.

But one thing that has amused me in between naps today has been looking at funny ads on Gumtree.com. Here is a classic:

i'm a 24yr old woman who would like to offer my guy to a sexually active woman for 1 night ONLY! We've spoke ab't it and i want him to enjoy himself. The trick is: I WANT TO BE PRESENT WITHOUT PARTICIPATING JUST WATCHING... read on (explicit language)

LLAMA SITTERS WANTED FOR LODGE IN ECUADORIAN CLOUD FOREST

Naturist accomodation in South London

Hello, My snake has been found after 2 months hiding out round our kitchen. She looks and seems very healthy still.. (i was shoked when i saw her chilling out on out rubbish bags).

So the flat mates are still very scared of her (no need to be) so am going to have to get rid of her.

Shes about 1.3m long californian corn snake, yellow. very tame, she loves being handled more than being in her box.

easy to feed etc..

any questions please contact me.

Simon

There are heaps more funnies on there, especially if you read the looking for love ads, there are some corkers.

Other than being sick and reading funny ads on Gumtree, I went on a road trip to Oxford on Saturday with some people I met at uni which was pretty cool. It's a really nice place, and the university is of course amazing. Had a good day. On Friday night we had a river cruise on the Thames on a party boat run by the international office that was a lot of fun. Night was somewhat cut short though when a little Asian girl vomited in the tube on the way to International Student's House. Plus there was the concern of not wanting to miss the last tube home, because I don't know where to get the nightbus yet. But it was still a really fun night.

I hope I am feeling better for Australia day on Thursday... plus I have class tomorrow and for some of my subjects I am marked on attendance (gasp! Shock! Horror!) and I have to pre record a few packages for the international student's radio show I am now involved with that broadcasts on Wednesdays (check out www.smokeradio.co.uk). So yeah, I hope I get rid of this bug, I really feel shit and ill.

And I still can't decide whether to have the soup or the mushy peas, neither are really very appetizing. The food here is quite bland.
