A few quick things I want to make sure I remember...
I know there is so much stuff I will forget about happening over here and seeing etc. So I'm just taking a few moments to jot down some things I want to remember... little things... sometimes silly things... the numbers don't denote any sort of order or anything.
1. Walking back from Sainsbury's during a sleet storm without an umbrella or weather proof jacket. Getting drenched and absolutely freezing cold.
2. The house on the way to the supermarket where there is an Indian father and son who are always fixing things every single time I go past while Bhangra and Bollywood music is playing on their radio. The other day they were retiling their roof, and they are sometimes arguing about the best way to do things.
3. Pulling a broken wheelchair out of a skip while drunk and pushing it down Northwick Park road, then leaving it in someone's front yard.
4. Watching the football (soccer) at the uni bar while drinking Strongbow while the boys around me talked about it in a language I could barely understand... it was English, but football talk is a type of English I'm not so good with.
5. Walking back from Harrow while drunk (this has happened numerous times), waiting while the boys used trees as toilets... me yelling at them any time they were going to do something stupid... or getting mad when they were climbing over fences and I was wearing a skirt! Or eating hamburgers outside in the freezing cold from the 4 in 1 funny shop that is open late.
6. Watching the tube trains go past my window while daydreaming when supposed to be writing assignments.
7. Sitting around in people's rooms or kitchens at halls, watching DVDs on computer screens, playing music, and just whiling away the hours hanging out because forms of entertainment are limited.
8. Spending hours in the Radio Production rooms only to realize I haven't actually produced anything, I've just been talking to people both in real life and on MSN.
9. Wondering why my room is so messy since I only came over here with a backpack.
10. All of the nights spent at the Undercroft (student bar)... and all of the money spent there too...
11. The stupid people in the lines at Sainsbury's who never seem to understand the question "do you have a nectar card" or "are you collecting active kids vouchers"... they go "huh" and the checkout person has to repeat themselves about 4 times before the person says no.
Just some random little thoughts, small things about the trip that I may forget when people start asking questions about what I saw and where I went...
