Things can only get better...
My last blog post was reflective of the extremely downbeat mood I was in the other day. While not bouncing from the rafters or anything, I am happy to report I am feeling a bit more chirpy. I went to the chiropractor and my back is a bit better, still not quite right though.
It's amazing what a day of journalistic conquest at the community radio station (I had the notebook out, the pen, the phone tucked in the crook of my neck and I did four interviews in one day...) followed by walking in to one's house to find one's flatmates crazily dancing to the best the 1980's and 1990's had to offer in terms of musical hits and one's mood must instantly improve. We ended up going over to a friends place, partaking in a few drinks, and then heading to a bar on Oxford Street where the trademark power posse's cackling laughter and excited screaming went on until the wee hours. Mel and I dragged ourselves through the front door at 4am, made toast and then went to bed.
Then today I have just pottered around (completely unfazed by the fact I have an assignment due on Monday and a proposal due on Wednesday) and listened to music and made yummy chickpea salad ala Jamie Oliver and washed my clothes.
So I am feeling a bit better. Still not looking forward to work, it's shit. Slightly less panicky about graduation. Still missing travelling... my back is still not quite right but I have found a local chiropractor who is friendly and has a student discount... but yeah, things are feeling more bearable than they were earlier in the week.
