Perfect sunsets and long walks
This evening after returning from reading a news bulletin which is most probably my very last appearance on Smoke Radio here at Westminster I sat and watched an amazing sunset through my windows. The sky changed from red to purple to deep blue and the colours are still changing, moving through varying shades of navy. Of course, since this is London, the sky is starless. But unusually, it is cloudless as well.
Today was a particularly nice day, very sunny and pleasantly warm, so I decided to walk in to Harrow town and do my groceries. Since it was so lovely I decided to be adventurous and take an alternate route. I got lost. I wandered for about 45 minutes and found myself far away in Wealdstone. I had to catch a bus back to uni, which went a very long way around the route, and then I just did my groceries at my normal supermarket that is five minutes away. Nice walk though.
I'm actually getting a tan which is really freaky because I've been outside a lot in the good weather and while doing touristy stuff. You don't get sunburnt here like one does in Oz, not as many UV rays.
I still can't believe I'm leaving, and I also can't believe that all the planning I have done for my Lithuania trip is to book a one way flight. Should be interesting, especially since I don't speak a word of Lithuanian.
Tonight I'm heading to the student club because it will be my last opportunity to do so, and I've got plans on the weekend. Plus I have many loose ends to tie up before Sunday night.
But tonight, sitting back, drinking my Apple and Mango juice with the windows opened and watching the sky change colours while listening to some good chilled tunes on Smoke, I didn't have a worry in the world... just for a little while.
