My favourite blogs
Yes, I am still procrastinating. I have done a third of the essay now though. So I thought I might do some fellow bloggers a favour by plugging them. Basically, these are a few of my favourite blogs I have spotted out there in the blogosphere recently.
Flextime is written by a classmate of mine from radio at uni in Sydney, the lovely Emma. It's quite witty, political, funny and all that, and worth a read.
Ausculture is a very cool little blog I recently discovered that does that truly Australian thing of taking the piss out of Australian culture and politics. Very funny. International readers might not get it though.
Vietnamese God is a charming blog that takes a look at daily life in Vietnam with lots of photos. Vietnam was the first place I visited overseas and it really opened up my mind to the world and gave me the travel bug. I was sixteen when I went to Vietnam, and before that I hadn't even considered moving away to uni or travel that much. I realized that I wanted to see more of the world and have a challenging and creative career that maybe could help people out. Going to this blog reminds of how cool a place Vietnam is and makes we want to go back and visit again sometime.
Going Underground is a very London blog all about the tube network. It is very witty, and I especially love the weekly "fashion victims on the tube" section... I just hope I don't show up on it one week! A friend at uni here, Mark, interviewed the owner of this blog and make a kick ass radio feature about finding love on the tube out of it that you can listen to online.
Generic Title has some funny food reviews about Tesco basics products. I'm rather tempted to follow suit with some reviews of Sainsbury's basics products (especially after having a thought the other day after drinking some Sainsy's 19p for two litres basic cola and wondering whether I had paid 19p for a bottle of coloured water...).
Also my team mates from Smoke International, Fabian and Natasha have very cool and fun MSN Spaces to check out.
Um, that's about all for now. But if you venture off to these blogs, remember who sent you there and remember to come back to my blog some day! And if anyone has any suggestions of cool blogs, let me know!! I always like to read cool new stuff.
Ok, back to my essay now.
