Internet is back! Yes! Music! Yay!

I finally got my net connection back! Yes! I'm in a particularly chirpy mood and I just spent nearly 50 quid... oh hang on iTunes Australia, wrong currency, 50 bucks (if I had spent 50 quid I would be very angry at myself) rather on music!! Got the new Whitlams album which I am liking muchly, as well as Arctic Monkeys and some other random songs. iTunes is one of the only ways you can download music in the halls. Also downloaded some New Zealand reggae by Fat Freddy's Drop, and yes I am a sad case but I downloaded a James Blunt song. I actually like his stuff *blushes*. I think now you have the song in Oz that I had stuck in my head for the first 6 weeks I was in the UK, it's called Put your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae, I quite like it, but I was happy when I stopped humming it continually. I heard some duet the other day I really liked but I don't know the name or the artists. I've been big time in to the retro Britpop like Blur and Oasis as well as new stuff like Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers. Their Hot Fuss album is probably the most owned CD on this campus.

I'm in quite a great mood at the moment, radio drama was fun the last two days, recording our scripts with actors. Next week I have to do the post production of my episode, which hopefully won't be too tough. I hope everything has recorded properly! *touches wood*. I haven't been out this week much though so I am getting a bit restless. I also need to write my final essays, one is due in a week, one not until May, but I want to get them both done. I can't believe classes finish next week, it's gone unbelievably fast. I've really become quite settled here... if I ever did exchange again I think I would try and come for a year maybe. But then again, it would lose the excitement and become quite normal by the time the second semester came. I dunno. It's been great though... it really has. Thank god cos it was a major financial undertaking! And the main travelling is still to come!
