A new love...
So yeah I'm still stressed, busy at work and uni, and yeah.
But I have a new love... my flatmate bought the delicious Regina Spektor album "Begin to Hope" and it's awesome. I love the single Fidelity which has been getting a fair bit of play on Triple J lately and has a totally cute video clip. Beautiful lyrics, with different tracks all having different influences... some have bluesy and jazz piano roots, others take their inspiration from pure cheery pop. ITunes calls it "alternative"... their category for anything that has a bit of fusion or isn't pop or rock!
Ms Spektor is American, which makes a change from my normal British/Australian musical inclinations.
Other songs on high rotation in my life at the moment include State I am In, Belle and Sebastian and We Rule the School all by Belle and Sebastian, as well as See you Soon by Coldplay, Memories and Dust by Josh Pyke and for some reason and another Better Together by Jack Johnson has made a resurgence in my mind lately and has been pushing it's way up the most played list.
I'm hoping to invest in the new album by the divine Miss Sarah Blasko over the weekend as I have eagerly awaited it's release since I loved The Overture and the Underscore. I can't believe she has just turned 30, I would not have said she looked a day over 25!
