Pink Star Walk
Last night, Mel, Lam, Mez and myself went on the Dove Pink Star Walk to raise money for breast cancer research. It was a pretty cruisey 5 km stroll, starting at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour, then walking around Millers Point, past the Bridge and the Opera House to the Botanic Gardens where we got a free gift bag with lots of random exciting items like laundry detergent, a Marie Claire cookbook with recipes far too complicated for me to ever contemplate making and some deoderant and shampoos and and stuff. The lights of the city are so very pretty at night time, the city at night is when I like the city best... the way the lights reflect off the harbour is awesome. Except you couldn't see any real stars on the walk in the sky, too much light pollution here for that!
When we were at the finish line I ran in to a guy from UTS who I met in a hostel in Wroclaw in Poland... it's a small world after all!
Myself with Lam... you can't see my pink top in the photo... noooo!
Mel and Mez on the bus having a pout
Lam chose to wear his glowstick in a special place...
