Don't do it!

Reviews are useful things. It's always nice to have some sort of idea of what to expect from a film by reading a movie review. Book reviews are great, and I am becoming addicted to electrical appliance reviews for helping me make important purchasing decisions.

But this website, well I will be interested to see if the concept catches on. Reading reviews of men from their previous users is an interesting concept.

Don't Date Him Girl is a site that lets you name and shame (very Today Tonight style) past boyfriends who have scorned you or burnt you or given you nasty diseases or left you with a baby and no welfare cheque.

I don't entirely agree with the concept (cos hey, girls can be pretty crazy about this stuff sometimes, to be fair both sides should get their say), but some of it sure makes interesting reading. It's like Jerry Springer on the internet, without security guards or chairs to throw. The one thing it leaves me pondering is how the hell the site can exist when there are these little things out there called defamation laws.... it's probably only a matter of time before the lawyers cash in on this potentially untapped resource for filing civil suits.

Here is one thing that was posted about someone from my hometown;

Girls...I have a real winner for you here:He is very non attractive.Black curly hair,glasses,big nose,and works at the rubbish tip & dresses like he fell in one.A very heavy drinker,mentally abuses woman,children and animals.He works 7 days a week.Does not like people at all,has to tolerate them because of work.Will swear at you.Hates family.Cheats on you with his ex defacto.If you have had the bad luck of losing a child,he will acuse you of killing it.He has been diagnosed with manic depression,he does swear & talk to invisable people or something.He is a compulsive liar,this man cannot tell the truth about anything.He will call you horrible names,then expect you to sleep with him.He is one horrible human being.Oh yes...he does not ever use protection,has had crabs,goodness what he may have now.
